PUBG Corp. announced the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, the global battle royale mobile championship that will offer $ 600,000 in prize money - approximately $ 2.3 million.
Six regions (Asia, Europe, South America, North America, China and Korea / Japan) will receive qualifiers for the World Cup, and the South American tournament will receive a prize of R $ 220,000.
See below the rules of the tournament:
- To register, it is necessary that the squad captain has at least a thousand fans in some social network or platform of live, like Youtube Gaming, Twitch, Facebook Live, Smashcast TV, Mixer, Cube TV, Nimo TV, among others;
- There are no reserves for the championship, therefore it is not allowed to change registered players;
- After registering, each squad will participate in 15 matches, and the 10 best matches will be included in the final result. Teams with less than 15 matches will receive scores based on actual matches played. Matches will only be valid if they have been played with 4 players during the qualifying round;
- The top 40 teams from each region (South America, North America and etc) will be ranked;
- The organizers will publish the list of the top 40 teams for all regions one week before the online matches begin. The committee will send the list to the leaders by email for confirmation;
- All software that changes the content of the game (such as sights, game interface, sound effects, speed, game screen, etc.) are prohibited during the tournament. If players violate this rule, the case will be considered as hacking. The team will be disqualified from the tournament and the prizes. The individual will be banned from official competitions;
- The use of in-game items obtained by means not approved by PUBG Corp. (excluding official rewards) or unannounced items is prohibited. If players violate this rule, the case will be considered as hacking. The team will be disqualified from the tournament and the prizes. The individual will be banned from official competitions;
- All content (such as photos, videos, replays and other resources generated by the players) and the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge event belong to Tencent. All players must accept this term to compete.
